Vegetables: All but potatoes (wild yams, sweet potatoes are fine) Lots of broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, turnips, kale, collard, water crests. Avocadoes and tomatoes are OK. Salad Dressing: Make your own with lemon, garlic, olive oil, tarragon, vinegar and pepper. “Bragg” salad dressing OK. Chp salads a lot. Corn is NOT a vegetable it is a grain!

Weeks 3 & 4: add all fruits. Lots of grapefruits and berries of all kinds. Dilute ogwala, Bolthouse, pure pomegranate (best) or any other organic fruit juice (1/3-1/2 water)

Weeks 5 & 6: add legumes (beans, peanuts, peas, soy/edamame, soy milk, and lentils)
After that: add cereals, breads, past, chips, tortillas. Add one whole grain every 3 days: corn, brown rice, wheat, etc. to pick up on hidden grain allergies. Book “Paleo Diet”

General Principles:
o This diet helps you withdraw from your addiction to refined foods in addition to screening for food allergies. If no significant improvement when done you may try to withhold fish, eggs, soy and nuts. Visit www.utahfoodallergynetwork.com.
o Do NOT go hungry. Eat every other hour if necessary. NO Calorie Counting. If you are full, you will stay away from foods to avoid.
o Do NOT weigh yourself. From now on focus on waist size.
o Eat Breakfast as a king, lunch as a queen, and dinner as a pauper. (400%, 40 %)
o Snacks: pulse bars (nuts, fruits, grains) carrots (any portable veggie) protein drinks/bars, sardines in peel-back cans, rice cakes, etc.
o Plan ahead, so that you don’t get caught hungry around bad food.
o Recruit family members. This diet is very hard without support

Maintenance: Avoid commercial fruit juices, pop, dairy, red meat, pork and other harmful refined foods!
